Why do engineering quotes vary so much?
Complexity, scope, building size, site conditions and the level of detail all affect the price, and engineers differ in experience, method and service. Compare like with like and ask what is included. More time on design usually gives a more economical or more robust result, which saves money in construction or over the long run.
